Victor Amorim Rodrigues, director clínico da The Clinic of Change, e Susana, paciente que fez o tratamento na clínica, falaram sobre Psicoterapia Assistida por Psicadélicos no programa da RTP «A Nossa Tarde».
RTP's "A Nossa Tarde" program, hosted by Tânia Ribas de Oliveira, dedicated some of its time to finding out more about Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy. To do so, she invited the clinical director of The Clinic of Change, Victor Amorim Rodrigues, as well as Susana, one of our patients, who had the opportunity to share her first-hand experience.
We highlight statements from both of them about this mental health treatment:
"Ketamine [or ketamine] has a marked antidepressant effect that works in those depressions that are resistant to conventional antidepressants. It also has psychedelic effects that can be used, because a lot of material comes out of the ketamine sessions, meaningful material that can be used in the psychotherapy sessions that take place the day after." - Victor Amorim Rodrigues
"I've been surprised by myself: with a greater ability to make decisions, a greater fluidity in carrying out everyday tasks, which for a depressed person involve a great effort to mobilize the will. After this treatment, things happen without me thinking about them, I feel lighter. And there's another curious thing: what comes to us through the senses - I've become more open to these pleasant sensations." - Susana
