Esketamine is a medication used to treat treatment-resistant depression. At The Clinic of Change, we administer Esketamine when deemed clinically indicated by our specialized team.

How Does It Work?
Escetamine is effective in providing rapid relief from symptoms of depression, including low mood, anxiety, loss of pleasure or interest, lack of energy, and changes in sleep and appetite. This treatment is recommended for adults with Treatment-Resistant Depression, defined as a lack of response to at least two full courses of treatment with antidepressants.

In addition, esketamine can be used in urgent situations, such as severe episodes of depression and suicidal ideation, due to its rapid onset of action (within 1 to 4 weeks).

Administration
Escetamine is administered using a nasal spray device, always under medical supervision. The treatment will be supervised by a healthcare professional, who will monitor the patient throughout the process. The dosage and frequency of treatment are determined by the doctor, depending on the patient’s needs and clinical condition.

Our team is on hand to guide each patient, ensuring the safety and efficacy of treatment with Esketamine.

What appointments can I book at The Clinic of Change?

Psychiatric consultations are conducted by medical specialists for the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of any psychiatric conditions (such as depression, anxiety, pathological grief, bipolar disorder, or psychotic disorders).

Whenever necessary, the psychiatrist can prescribe an appropriate, individualized and biopsychosocial treatment plan (medication or psychotherapy) and monitor clinical progress over time.

Psychotherapy is an in-depth therapeutic process led by a psychotherapist, which can be carried out by a psychologist or doctor with specific training in psychotherapy.

These consultations allow us to explore emotional issues and thought patterns that influence psychological well-being, helping to build lasting change through different approaches, such as psychoanalysis, cognitive-behavioral therapy, among others.

Child psychiatry is a medical specialty focused on the mental health of children and adolescents, from birth to 17 years of age. Consultations are carried out by child psychiatrists and are aimed at diagnosing and treating emotional, behavioral and neurodevelopmental difficulties, such as anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or autism spectrum disorders.

Early monitoring is essential to ensure balanced and healthy development.

A neuropsychological assessment consists of a detailed examination of cognitive, emotional and behavioral functions, carried out by a neuropsychologist.

It is intended for children, adolescents, and adults who experience difficulties associated with neurodevelopmental disorders, brain injuries, neurodegenerative diseases, or other conditions that affect brain function.

Analysis of cognitive functioning (memory, attention, language, etc.) to identify difficulties and guide interventions. Indicated in cases of learning difficulties, ADHD, cognitive alterations due to stress, ageing or neurological diseases. Personalized process with final report and recommendations.

Complementary assessment, only indicated in specific cases, to ensure safe treatment with ketamine. Recommended when there are complex medical conditions (cardiac, respiratory, neurological or allergies). The anesthesiologist assesses risks, requests tests if necessary and draws up a personalized plan in collaboration with the medical team.
