Suzete Costa, pharmacist, researcher and executive director of the Evidence-Based Healthcare Institute (Research Advisor at The Clinic of Change), was one of the recipients of the Helen Clark-Journal of Pharmaceutical Policy and Practice (JoPPP) Award, which recognizes talent and work in pharmaceutical policy and practice.
The award was launched in 2018 and is named after the former Prime Minister of New Zealand, Helen Elizabeth Clark, who "congratulated all the winners". "These researchers have made a significant contribution to facilitating public health research, in their communities and globally," she said, according to the JoPPP website.
Zaheer-Ud-Din Babar, chairman of the jury and JoPPP's main editor, said: "The award celebrates what the winners have achieved. They have made an immense contribution to improving our understanding of pharmacy, locally and regionally."
