Esketamine is a medication used to treat treatment-resistant depression. At The Clinic of Change, we administer Esketamine when deemed clinically indicated by our specialized team.
How Does It Work?
Escetamine is effective in providing rapid relief from symptoms of depression, including low mood, anxiety, loss of pleasure or interest, lack of energy, and changes in sleep and appetite. This treatment is recommended for adults with Treatment-Resistant Depression, defined as a lack of response to at least two full courses of treatment with antidepressants.
In addition, esketamine can be used in urgent situations, such as severe episodes of depression and suicidal ideation, due to its rapid onset of action (within 1 to 4 weeks).
Administration
Escetamine is administered using a nasal spray device, always under medical supervision. The treatment will be supervised by a healthcare professional, who will monitor the patient throughout the process. The dosage and frequency of treatment are determined by the doctor, depending on the patient’s needs and clinical condition.
Our team is on hand to guide each patient, ensuring the safety and efficacy of treatment with Esketamine.
