Esketamine is a medication used to treat treatment-resistant depression. At The Clinic of Change, we administer Esketamine when deemed clinically indicated by our specialized team.
How does it work?
Ketamine is effective in quickly relieving the symptoms of depression, including depressed mood, anxiety, lack of pleasure/interest, lack of energy, changes in sleep and appetite. This treatment is recommended for adults with Treatment-Resistant Depression, defined by a lack of response to at least two complete treatments with antidepressants.
In addition, Esketamine can be used in urgent situations, such as severe episodes of depression and suicidal ideation, due to its rapid action (1 to 4 weeks).
Administration
Ketamine is administered via a nasal spray device, always under medical supervision. The treatment will be accompanied by a healthcare professional, who will monitor the patient during the process. The dosage and frequency of treatment are determined by the doctor, depending on the patient's needs and clinical condition.
Our team is on hand to guide each patient, ensuring the safety and efficacy of treatment with Esketamine.
